Forest Service trail maps and guides are located in File Cabinet 1, near the
silver map cases in the Map Resource Area on the third floor of the library.
This area is directly outside the Government Documents office. 7.5 minute
topographic maps published in cooperation with USGS are interfiled with the
USGS series in map cases 5 - 9.
The primary base series maps (located in the map cases) are used to derive all other Forest Service map products such as the forest visitor guides, wilderness maps, Special Designated Area maps, and work maps (located in File Cabinet 1).
