Case Maps
The map cases are on the third floor of the library,
down one floor from the main floor. As you descend the main stairwell, bear
left.
USGS Topo Index/Ordering Use the USGS Store to locate maps by clicking on "Enter USGS Store," then clicking on the "Map Locator" image in the store to help you find a map.
State Map Series (planimetric, 1:5,000,000) - (case 15, drawer 10) - A 1:5,000,000-scale planimetric map of Alaska can be located in this drawer. State maps other than Alaska are scaled 1:500,000.
State Map Series (topographic, 1:1,584,000) - (case 15, drawer 11) - A 1:1,584,000-scale topographic map of Alaska can be located in this drawer. State maps other than Alaska are scaled 1:500,000.
State Map Series (shaded relief, 1:2,500,000) - (case 15, drawer 12) - A 1:2,500,000-scale shaded relief map of Alaska can be located in this drawer. State maps other than Alaska are scaled 1:500,000.
Alaska 1:250,000-scale series - (case 15, drawer 8) - This series is of Alaska map quads with quadrangle dimensions of 1 degree latitude and from 2 to 3 degrees longitude, depending on the quadrangle location.
Alaska 1:63,360-scale quads - (case 11, drawer 13) - This series of topographic quads of Alaska is included in the drawers of 1:62,500-scale maps.
