The map cases are on the third level of the library, down one level from the main floor. As you descend the main stairwell, bear left.

USGS Topo Index/Ordering Use the USGS Store to locate maps by clicking on "Enter USGS Store," then clicking on the "Map Locator" image in the store to help you find a map.

7.5-minute 1:24,000-scale topographic quadrangles - (case 10, drawer 6) - best known, most widely-used large-scale series.

15-minute 1:50,000-scale topographic quadrangles - (case 11, drawer 11) - this series is "dead", or discontinued.

30 x 60 minute 1:100,000-scale quadrangles - (case 14, drawers 2- 6) - we have coverage of nearly the entire U.S. in this intermediate-scale topographic series. Interfiled is a BLM series showing surface management and surface-minerals management status; part of the Topographic Special series.

U.S. Series (topographic, 1:250,000) - (case 15, drawer 7) - small-scale maps covering the U.S., 1 degree x 2-degree; part of the Topographic Special series.

State Map Series (topographic, 1:500,000) - (case 15, drawer 11) - separate 1:500,000-scale maps for each state; part of the Topographic Special series.

Set of 100 Topographic Maps Illustrating Specified Physiographic Features - (case 5, drawer 2) - some quadrangle maps for this state are included within this set.
