Online Travel Information
From the Libraries' Alumni Travel Information page, you can link to sites with information about specific trip destinations in the Alumni Association's Passport Travel season as well as websites with general travel information (country data, weather, currency, etc.).
If you are traveling, check out our Language Learning Resources. We have CDs, Playaways, Rosetta Stone, and USB drives with complete immersion learning. All of these are in a variety of languages.
Catalog
The Libraries have an online catalog that you can search from anywhere, on campus or off. Use the catalog to see if we have the book, journal, or audiobook that you are looking for.
Borrowing Privileges
Clemson alumni can check out up to twenty items for four weeks. Books can be renewed once. Get your free library card at the Circulation Desk in Cooper Library, in the Architecture Library, or by filling out an online form. See Circulation Services for Alumni for more details.
Popular Reading and Audiobooks
There is a collection of popular reading materials - both books and audiobooks - on the 4th floor of Cooper Library. You can check out four items at a time for four weeks from this collection. Visit the Popular Reading Page for more information or come in and browse. Our special thanks to the Alumni Association for providing funding for this collection.

Patents and Trademarks
To find copies of patents and trademarks, you can search patent or trademark databases here in the library using patent sites on the world wide web. Contact our patent librarian, Jan Comfort (864-656-5168; toll-free in the United States: 1-877-886-2389) for more information.
DVDs, Videos and Compact Discs
Once you have your courtesy library card, you can check out videos, DVDs, and CDs - one each for three days - from our media collection on the 4th floor of Cooper Library.
Articles
When you visit the library, you can find full-text magazine, newspaper, and scholarly research articles in a variety of databases. For a list of all available databases, see our Databases A-Z page. (Most of them require being on campus or having an active Clemson ID and password.)
Tax Forms
You can pick up or copy tax forms in Cooper Library or go to our tax forms page to find them online.
Special Collections
In Special Collections, on the lower level of the Strom Thurmond Institute, we have the University Archives (includes old issues of the Tiger, Taps, and Clemson World), many manuscript collections (Thomas Green Clemson's letters, for example), and rare books. We also have a Tiger Index covering the years 1989-2000, which you can search online. Visit our online photograph collections, Palmetto Yesteryears and Clemson Campus Album, to see historic pictures of the university and the state.
You can purchase copies of photographs, slides, or videos from the collection.

Children's Books
There is a collection of books for children and young adults on the 3rd floor of Cooper Library. Look here for Newbery and Caldecott Award books, among many others.

Java City and Snacks & Stax
Cooper Library houses a coffee shop and a convenience store. Java City, the very popular coffee shop, is on the 5th floor. It has a large selection of hot and cold specialty beverages, a daily selection of pastries, and fresh-packed sandwiches to go. You can find the Snacks & Stax convenience store on the 4th floor. It has snacks and drinks, as well as school supplies.
Dissertations and Theses
The Clemson Libraries have copies of all theses and dissertations written by Clemson students.
