Rearranged, again/Daily Photo(s)

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

We’ve rearranged Cooper 4 West again. The audiobooks have been shifted to fill their shelves again. The DVDs and Videos are all now along the wall. The Reserves are on the open shelves beside the new Circulation Desk.

These photos should help make things easier to find. Let us know if you need assistance!

If you couldn’t be there, you can still enjoy a little bit of what it was like!

Race to the Rock/Daily Photo

Monday, March 30th, 2009

We had a great time at the 10th Annual Race to the Rock. We had over 350 people sign up to race on Saturday and even though we all got a little damp (and by damp, I mean soaked!); it was tons of fun!

We want to thank Wendy’s for their continuing support as our title sponsor as well as Bob Brookover’s PRTM class for all their hard work.

If you didn’t get to join us this year, start training now and be ready to “Race to the Rock” next spring!

New shelves, old media room

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Room 201 (the former Media room) has been a bit noisy while temporary shelving is being installed in the room. This project could take another week.

Many of our over-sized materials will be moving to these shelves during an upcoming shifting project.

Midweek Music March Madness

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Today is the last performance in this month’s Midweek Music March Madness event. Stop by Cooper Library’s lobby at 12:30pm to hear Viva Voce.

Viva Voce, Clemson’s newest choral group, is a select mixed ensemble that performs challenging “a capella” choral music of many periods and genres under the musical direction of David Conley. Selections from their spring repertoire: “Revecy Venir Du Printans” by Claude Le June; “O Nata Lux” by Guy Forbes; “Daemon Irrepit Callidus” by Gyorgy Orban; “O How Beautiful This Finely Woven Earth” by Gaia Willis-Owen & Greg Jasperse; “Words” by the REAL GROUP; “Amor De Mi Alma” by Randall Stroope; “I Am Not Yours” by Sara Teasdale and Randall Stroope; and “Wade in the Water” by Moses Hogan.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our version of March Madness!
