Government Publications:
Federal and State

Clemson University Libraries are a depository library for both federal and state government publications. Most U.S. and South Carolina government publications are located on the 3rd floor of Cooper Library. On this floor, federal publications are arranged by SuDoc numbers, a system of call numbers used for U.S. government publications, and South Carolina publications are arranged by South Carolina State Library Call Numbers.

Many government publications can be found online.

To locate specific government publications, you can search the online library catalog to find many of the federal and all of the state publications the library has in print or on microfiche.

You can search online indexes for federal publications published from 1976 to the present or The Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications (Cooper Library REF Z 1223 .A18) for materials from 1895 to the present.

For assistance locating government publications, please contact Celina Nichols, Government Publications Librarian (864-656-5173) or come by the Documents Office on the 3rd floor of Cooper Library.
