Recall/Hold
Items
If a book is checked-out, you may request a recall/hold using My Library Account. Log in, search the catalog for the item you you want to recall or hold, then click on the hold/recall button. The patron who has it is guaranteed two weeks, but must then return it. You will be notified when it is available. All books are subject to recall.
If you do not return
a recalled item by the specified date, you will be charged $1.00 per
day late fee and not be able to check out or recall anything else.
Holds can be submitted
on Popular Reading items and books that are due in less than two weeks.
When a book is placed on hold, the person who has it charged out cannot renew it. When the book is returned, it is then held for the next
person on the hold list.
Please note that recall requests take precedence over hold requests.

You can pay library fines online with TigerStripe or credit cards,
in person (by cash, check, tigerstripe, or credit cards) at the
Cooper or Architecture Circulation Desk, or by mail.
Outstanding debts are turned over to the Bursar's Office at the
end of each semester. Clemson's Student Handbook clearly states
that any indebtedness to the University that becomes past due, immediately
jeopardize the student's continued enrollment and he/she will not
be allowed to reenroll in any subsequent semester until the indebtedness
is resolved. The Handbook goes on to state that the University may
assess a $25 fee on any indebtedness and that any collection costs
associated with the debt will also be the student's responsibility.
If you have questions about Cooper Library materials, fines or fees, please contact the Circulation desk at 864-656-1557. For questions involving Media fines please call the Media desk at 864-656-0402. You may also contact the Architecture desk at 864-656-3933 concerning Architecture Library materials.
If you lose or
damage a library item, you will be billed the cost of the item ($75
average) plus the overdue fines (25¢ per day per item) and the
processing fee ($25). You will receive a bill for any material that
is 45 days overdue. If the item is found within six months, you will be reimbursed the fees but not any overdue fines.
If you replace
a lost or damaged item, you will only be billed $8 plus any overdue
fines. If you have questions about how to replace an item, please
contact the Circulation Desk in Cooper Library (864) 656-1557 or the
Architecture Library (864) 656-3933.
