Multi-volume compilation including properties of organic compounds. 

Volumes are stored with collective indexes in Hunter Hall Reading Room, 2nd Floor – QD 251 .B42. Covers the literature from the late-1700s (main work-Hauptwerk) until 1979 (5th supplementary series).  

Volumes are in German until the 5th supplement, but relevant information can be found by non-German speakers.

Books entitled “How to Use Beilstein” and “Beilstein’s Index” (QD 291 .G53 1986 ) are also shelved with the Beilstein volumes in Hunter.

Indiana University (Wiggins) has put together a useful Guide to the Printed Beilstein including a brief list of useful terms in German and English

Multi-volume series covering inorganic and organometallic compounds (includes chemical and physical property data).  Volumes are organized by element, and cumulative formula indexes are available.  Incomplete holdings found in Hunter Hall Reading Room, 2nd Floor - QD 151 .G5. 

Volumes published before 1982 are in German, though volumes since the 1950s may have English notes in the margins.
