GeoRef

Most comprehensive database in the Geosciences, covering topics such as environmental and engineering geology, hydrology, economic geology, geophysics, petrology, paleontology, marine geology and oceanography, and mineralogy. Coverage: 1785-Present
(limited to 1 user at a time)

GeoRef Preview Database   Highlights references to geoscience publications which have recently been added to the GeoRef production system. Each weekend, completed references are removed from the Preview database and transferred to GeoRef, and new references are added.

MinAbs (The Online Mineralogical Abstracts Journal)   Indexes major journals and many less accessible journals in mineralogy, crystallography, geochemistry, petrology, and environmental mineralogy. Coverage: Abstracts 1982-Present

SciFinder Scholar
(Includes Chemical Abstracts (CAplus), Medline, CAS REGISTRY, CASREACT, CHEMLIST and CHEMCAT)

CAplus contains article references from 9500 major scientific journals (including many Geology and Earth Sciences titles), as well as conference proceedings, patents, books, dissertations, and more. Coverage: 1907-Present (plus some pre-1907 journal records);

Medline indexes articles from approximately 3,900 biomedical journals. Coverage: 1950-Present

Not available off-campus; click here to download SciFinder Scholar on your computer;

(limited to 4 simultaneous users)

Web of Science (includes Science Citation Index)   Indexes approximately 8,700 multidisciplinary research journals, including those in Geology and Earth Sciences, and provides cited reference searching. Coverage: 1965-Present
(limited to 10 simultaneous users)

Other Geology & Earch Sciences-Related Indexes:

Applied Science and Technology Abstracts   Contains citations for more than 700 core scientific and technical publications. Topics include chemistry, engineering, computers, metallurgy, physics, plastics, and more. Coverage: 1983-Present

ASFA (Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts) 1: Biological Sciences and Living Resources   All aspects of marine, freshwater, and brackish water organisms and environments are examined, including information on biology and ecology of aquatic organisms, exploitation of living resources, and related legal, policy, and socioeconomic issues.  Coverage: current year plus one previous year

ASFA (Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts) 2: Ocean Technology, Policy and Non-Living Resources   Coverage spans the wide-ranging fields of oceanography: physical, descriptive, dynamical, chemical, geological, and biological aspects are extensively examined, as well as limnology, ocean engineering, and specific resources.  Coverage: current year plus one previous year

ASFA (Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts) 3: Aquatic Pollution and Environmental Quality   Devoted exclusively to research and policy on the contamination of oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, and estuaries.  Coverage: 1990-present

BioOne   Full-text database of high-impact bioscience research journals. Coverage: 2000-present

Biosis   Most comprehensive biology database. Includes environmental sciences (climatology, ecology, geology) Coverage: 1969-Present

Conference Papers Index
  Subject emphasis since 1995 has been in the life sciences, environmental sciences, and the aquatic sciences. Coverage: 1982-Present

Current Contents (Through ISI Web of Knowledge)
