Cooperative Extension Services

About This Site

This site has been prepared with SC County Cooperative Extension personnel in mind. Extension personnel are a diverse group serving a wide variety of needs. As such not all sites will be of interest to everyone. All sites were reviewed briefly to determine applicability and level of quality.

This site is by no means exhaustive in covering any of the subjects listed. In compiling this list of sites an effort has been made to use high quality sites, including commercial (.com ), educational ( .edu ), non-profit ( org. ) and government ( .gov , .mil or .state. ) information. Within the topics listed sites are arranged from general to more specific. In reviewing the sites you may find that one type of site (I.E.- .gov or.edu) serves your purposes better than another. If so, you may wish to search that type of site (known as a domain) first when looking for new information. Such limiting by "domain" can be accomplished on many Internet search engines.

Even in this brief listing of sites, you will probably find more information than most people have time to review and absorb, and this is only a microcosm of the Internet. As you find new sites, it may prove helpful to let your colleagues know about them. By emailing your fellow professionals you can direct them to (or away from) Internet sites and in so doing save enormous amounts of time.
